member's pages are awfully small. The navigation bar seems to take
up almost half of the available space!
The member's pages were designed to be viewed using a screen resolution
of 800x600 or higher. Although 640x480 can be used, the navigation
bar takes up much of the available space. To increase your screen
resolution, contact your system administrator or follow the steps
below (for Windows95/98/NT only). If you are not sure on how to apply
these changes, ask for help. You may damage your monitor if something
goes wrong. * Click on the desktop with the RIGHT mouse button
* Select "Properties"
* Select "Settings"
* Slide the slider marked "Desktop Area" to the right until
it reads 800 pixels by 600 pixels
* If using WindowsNT, click on "test", and then "Yes"
of the test screen was displayed properly.
* Click on "OK"
* Your computer may require that you restart your system
I
keep entering a query in the search engine, but it doesn't return
any hits. I know that there should be something on this subject because
I've seen it before.
Make sure that the query you are entering is valid. Did you spell
the keywords right? And if so, did you specify the right periode in
which the article was published? If you still can't find what you're
looking for, please email us.
When
I enter a query in the search engine, it comes up with so many hits
I don't know which article is the one I need?
You'll need to specify your query. You can do this by selecting 'and'
in stead of 'or' in your search options. You could also try and narrow
down the periode in which the article was published. If this also
gives too many results you could try and add keywords to your query.
If you still can't find what you're looking for, please email us.
I
use your site a great deal, but it takes so long to look everything
up. Is there any other way to access the archives?
Yes, CD-ROMs containing a year's worth of archives are available.
For more information, look here.
Whenever
I log in, I get a warning about receiving a cookie. How do I get rid
of this?
This is because the "Save Password" check box is checked.
When this option is set, our login script tries to save your username
and password in your cookie file. We recommend that you enable cookies
since this will allow you to skip the login screen. The saved password
expires after about three years (1000 days).
Help!!!
I've lost my password!
Don't worry. Just send an email to Quigley@bart.nl.
Note that your password will change, so any password saved in your
browser will no longer be valid.
What
happens when I send you email?
Depending on which address you send email to, you can expect a reply
within 1 to 3 working days. The same applies to filling in forms.
Anything sent to us by email will be kept strictly confidential, and
we promise not to sell your email address to anyone.
My
username and password do not work!!!
This could be due to two things. Either you have misspelled your username
or password. The passwords Media Monitor uses are CasEseNseTivE. Which
means that CAPITALS are not the same as regular characters. Therefor
make sure that your Caps-Lock button is switched off and that you
carefully type in your username and password. The second reason your
username and password do not word is that your subscription has expired.
In which case please email to Quigley@bart.nl.
Do
I have to log out every time I leave the site?
No you don't. Logging out only means that the little file (cookie)
that remembers your settings is erased. Your account with Media Monitor
is completely safe when you don't log out.
If you do want to log out just click here to logout of the member
section.
